Stephanie Sneed for District 4 School board
Stephanie believes that we all must do and be better for students and therefore its time for change. We all have a common interest of students, but in order for us to change their trajectory a fresh and
innovative approach must be brought to the Board.
Board focus primarily on increasing outcomes and expectation of all students through equitable and measurable goals. This includes a focus on pandemic learning losses, closing achievement gaps and broadening advanced performers opportunities to ensure all students are college or career ready.
Increased access and opportunities to mental health support resources for students and families that have experienced adverse childhood experience/trauma.
The Board has a duty to be transparent with and accountable to students, parents, staff, parents and the community.
Teachers and staff must be provided a place they love showing up to
work. This starts at the top with the Board and administration. It is imperative that teachers/staff are provided consistent policies and guidance; meaningful salaries; appropriate support; and innovative
incentives. The Board must also be fierce advocates in Raleigh.
Fresh leadership experienced in consensus building and negotiation is needed, that will foster participation with other governmental entities, the community and stakeholders.
